Young & Associates is a progressive team of management consultants dedicated to the success of financial institutions by providing consulting, outsourcing, and educational services to community financial institutions nationwide and overseas.  In 40+ years we have grown and expanded our product and service offerings to include all of the major areas of banking, including risk management, capital planning, strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, branching and expansion, loan review, marketing, compliance, and information technology.  Through affiliations with state and national banking associations, we also provide educational seminars and training to more than 3,000 bankers each year.

Currently, we have an opening for a Director position in the Business Development department. This individual will lead the company’s business development, marketing and advertising initiatives and coordinate with other staff members to provide timely response and excellent service to clients and prospects.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Form, refine and lead the sales culture of the company
  • Works with Marketing Manager to enhance the marketing strategy and manage the marketing budget
  • Build, drive adoption and proactively employ the company’s customer relationship management platform
  • Direct oversight of 3rd party marketing vendor(s) to propose, establish and implement company strategies, tactics and initiatives designed to drive additional new business to the company
  • Receive and quickly respond to all new service inquiries received through the company website, phone inquiries, referrals from other staff members, etc. Monitor and engage in follow-up of all sales leads
  • Be knowledgeable of all company products and services in order to communicate with prospects and clients in a well-informed manner
  • Prepare or assist in preparing new client engagement proposals and communicating same to clients; coordinate with client and company staff throughout the client decision process and if successful, properly transition the client to the appropriate company team to continue the engagement process. Maintain contact with unsuccessful prospects for future opportunities
  • Recommend and attend conferences and conventions aligned to marketing strategy to exhibit and promote company products and services to prospects and to act as a company ambassador to establish deeper relationships with existing clients
  • Support company Directors and departments in efforts to win new business and multi-discipline engagements with existing clients
  • Meet and exceed annual sales objectives
  • Develop personal sales leads from existing network or independent efforts
  • Establish reporting metrics for everyone in the company to track effectiveness of pricing, new client engagement and expanding multi-discipline engagement for existing customers initiatives
  • Participate in special projects
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Proficient in Hubspot or other CRM and/or marketing automation platform is a plus


  • Bachelors’ degree in Business or related field required
  • Masters’ degree in Business or related field is a plus
  • 5-7 years of Business Development experience
  • 2-3 years of banking experience is preferred
  • Experience leading a team
  • Experience maintaining a budget
